Artist to watch: Leyya

This week’s artist to watch is Austrian indie-pop duo Leyya, consisting of Sophie Lindinger and Marco Kleebauer, who together have been making waves of epic proportions within the scene, stacking up nearly 9 million streams online and earning the support of universally acclaimed tastemakers from around the world.

The duo first catapulted into the spotlight with the success of their debut LP “Spanish Disco” a few years back; their lead single at the time, “Superego”, amassed over 3 millions Spotify plays and 700,000 YouTube views.

The explosive duo followed this up with their wildly successful album “Suana” which came out early this year and continue to rise to new heights, now presenting their latest release and new single: “Wannabe.”

“Marco Kleebauer’s electro beats collide with the fragile, soft voice of singer Sophie Lindinger, creating music that sends a chill down the spine.”
Red Bull Music

In a potently atmospheric blend of synth-pop meets seductive electro-chill, Sophie’s meltingly soft and intimate vocal delivery combined with the track’s a uniquely sparse production make this song an instant ear worm.

“While the irresistible groove and layers of tropical campfire synths make this feel like the perfect carefree jam to soundtrack your tanning sessions”
V Magazine

With exiting new milestones well within reach and an international tour about to commence in October, Leyya are on a clear path to distinction within the music scene and definitely one keep a close watch on! Their infectiously energetic and zestful new single “Wannabe” is out now on all music streaming platforms – take a listen bellow!
